Your Quinceañera Fiesta Invitations Say A Lot About You by Michael Kabel
The invitations you send to your guests announcing your Quinceañera fiesta are more than just a formal announcement of your upcoming celebration. They're like a glimpse of the evening celebrations, and a promise to everyone of the good times, food, and drink that they'll find available.
It's true that many of your quince anos fiesta guests will be your friends and family, people you've known all your life. But they deserve an invitation just like the guests you wish to properly invite. Probably even more so, because their presence is even more important to you!
Invitations Serve Many Purposes
Invitations are kind of like the previews for upcoming movies you see before the main movie starts. These previews, known as trailers, tell the viewer what to expect, how much fun they're going to have if they come, and also give a preview of the best parts the audience can expect to see. Finally, they say when the audience should come to see the movies they represent.
Your invitations should do all those things. Instead of a two or four minute film reel, though, they entice the potential guest with their beauty and sophistication.
The invitations you choose also communicate your fiesta’s tone. An elaborately made invitation will subtly communicate to the reader that formal attire is probably required. Something simple or straightforward, or even laid back and casual, will sned a corresponding message to the guest every bit as effectively.
Planning Your Invitations
It might help you to think of your invitations as messengers, or as part of a campaign to get all your desired guests to attend. It probably won’t surprise you to know that there are many different kinds of invitations, and many different ways to announce the fiesta and the Quinceañera itself. Best of all, you don’t have to choose just one type of invitation for all your guests! Because invitations are sold as packages, you might arrange for the invitations to your closest friends to include a special touch, like an embossed charm or special calligraphy that shows them you’re thinking of them especially. The invitations for your court of honor could also features calligraphy, or could include something even more elaborate, like linen stock paper, stationary that’s been infused with a lovely fragrance, or any of other designers touches.
Sending Out Your Invitations
Experts recommend ordering and sending out your invitations well in advance of your scheduled Quinceañera date. The invitations should be ordered up to six months in advance, so that they have time to come in, especially if you order them personalized.
Plan to mail the invitations out no later than four months in advance, so your guests have time to plan or to RSVP that they’re not coming. This will allow you more accuracy as you make final preparations for the quince fiesta dinner, in making your choice of venue halls, and for planning beverages and desserts, as well. It also allows you to finalize your guest list, so you’ll know how much fun the party will be!
